OBC MUsic

Music has always played an important role in the worship of God's people. The mission of our Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, and lead the congregation in worship. We also seek to provide an avenue where people can share their gifts, be an integral part of the worship service, and grow spiritually by committing their time and talents to God. Our Music Ministry presents a variety of music, including Traditional Gospel, Hymns, Contemporary Gospel, and Praise & Worship.

At OBC we offer a number of ways that people can use or develop their musical talents for the glory of God:

• THE CHURCH CHOIR offers individuals the opportunity to help lead the congregation in song during the weekly Sunday morning worship service.  
• THE CONCERT CHOIR works hard to present seasonal performances each year during the Easter and Christmas Seasons.  
• THE OBC ACADEMY OF MUSIC  seeks to inspire people of all ages to learn and enjoy music. We offer a variety of courses that are typically sought after by the general public.  This includes: piano instruction, organ methods, vocal training, music theory, and conducting.  The courses are generally geared towards ages 7 and up, however, we don't want to leave out kids who are under the age of 7.  For this range, we offer hands-on experience with different instruments, games, and other musical fun.  All courses offered at OBCAM are carefully selected and implemented according to the North Carolina Music Educators Association Standard Course of Study Framework.

Morning Worship Service- 10:45 AM

Concert Choir Practice- 4:30 PM (Conducted Seasonally in the Sanctuary)
